Treble Honor Choir at KMEA
The KCDA Treble Honor Choir is an opportunity open to students in grades 5-9 with Treble (unchanged) voices who are enrolled in a choral program in the state of Kansas. Members of this ensemble will perform in a performance as part of the KMEA In-Service Workshop.

Oct. 5, 2026 – Online application completed (mp3 upload deadline)
Oct. 26, 2026 – Audition fees due, $12 per student
Oct. 26, 2026 – Blind judging of submissions completed
Nov. 2, 2026 – Audition fee disqualification deadline. Auditions unpaid by this date will be disqualified.
Nov. 9, 2026 – Website notification of accepted singers. Directors submit Participation Fee ($65 per selected student). Participation Fee is immediately due upon notification of acceptance

Cristi Miller, 2027 Clinician
Cristi Miller is an internationally recognized master teacher, conductor, composer, and arranger with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in music education. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she has taught students from kindergarten through high school and has consistently demonstrated excellence in the classroom and beyond. Her dedication to education has earned her numerous accolades, including District Teacher of the Year, the Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OkMEA) Excellent Educator Award, and induction into the OkMEA Music Educators Hall of Fame. A sought-after conductor, Miller has led honor choirs at the district and All-State levels across the United States, working with elementary, middle, and high school students. As a clinician, she presents on a wide range of topics, from elementary music curriculum and resources to secondary choral techniques and pedagogy. An active and prolific composer, Miller’s works include choral octavos, elementary music resources, and musicals. She has contributed to national publications such as Music Express! magazine and served as a writer for major textbook series including Spotlight on Music (Macmillan/McGraw-Hill), Voices in Concert, and Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements Music Class digital curriculum. Since 2010, Miller has been a valued member of the Fine Arts faculty at Heritage Hall School in Oklahoma City, where she currently teaches middle school music. She resides in the Oklahoma City area with her husband, Rick.
